Environmental occurrence, fate, impact, and potential solution of tire microplastics: Similarities and differences with tire wear particles

چکیده
Tire microplastics (TMPs) are identified as one of the most abundant types microplastics, which originate from rubber with intended or unintended release. While increasing knowledge about TMPs concentrates on tire wear particles (TWPs), other potential sources like recycled crumb (RTC) and repair-polished debris (TRD) much less understood. Excessive levels their additives have been fragmentarily reported in environment. The accumulating environmental different may directly indirectly cause adverse impacts environment human health. objectives this review to (1) summarize properties, abundance, environment; (2) analyze fates behaviors TMPs, including roles carrying abiotic biotic co-contaminants; (3) evaluate terrestrial aquatic organisms, well human; (4) discuss solutions mitigate TMP pollution. By collecting analyzing up-to-date literature, enhances our better understanding occurrence, fates, impacts, further highlights critical gaps future research directions that require cooperative efforts scientists, policymakers, public educators.

A Tire Side Slip Model with Flexible Tire Carcass and the Identification of Tire Structural Parameters
i’ire behaviour plays a very important role in vehicle dynamic studies. Because of the complexity of tire structure, some tire models use so many assumptions they cannot represent tire behaviour well, while others are so complicated they are di@icult to use in engineering applications. This study presents an analytical tire side slip modeI with flexible tire carcass which is very helpful for un...
متن کاملTire-wear particles as a source of zinc to the environment.
Tire-tread material has a zinc (Zn) content of about 1 wt %. The quantity of tread material lost to road surfaces by abrasion has not been well characterized. Two approaches were used to assess the magnitude of this nonpoint source of Zn in the U.S. for the period 1936-1999. In the first approach, tread-wear rates from the automotive engineering literature were used in conjunction with vehicle ...
متن کاملLatex allergens in tire dust and airborne particles.
The prevalence and severity of latex allergy has increased dramatically in the last 15 years due to exposure to natural rubber products. Although historically this health risk has been elevated in hospital personnel and patients, a recent survey has indicated a significant potential risk for the general population. To obtain a wide-spread source for latex exposure, we have considered tire debri...
متن کاملEstimation of Tire-Road Friction by Tire Rotational Vibration Model
Tire-road friction is the most important piece of information used by active safety systems. However, most conventional friction estimation/ detection methods are accurate only within the non-linear region. In addition, such methods require numerous sensors, such as yaw rate sensors, acceleration sensors, and steering angle sensors. In this paper, a friction estimation method using a tire vibra...
